Christmas is what?

Christmas is the Christian celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, who is considered the Son of God, and the savior of all people. With the birth of Christ, Christianity essentially begins; thus, Christmas also celebrates the beginning of Christianity.

Though Christmas is normally celebrated on the 25th of December, strong evidence suggests that Jesus may have in fact been born in the spring. Though many Christians date Christ’s birth as the end of the "Before Christ" or BC era, most believe Christ’s birth can actually be dated to 4 BC. This is a bit ironic, since the Christian era is thought to begin with the birth of Christ, but actually begins later.

Some of the images inexorably tied with Christmas are things like shepherds in the snow, and the fierce cold of a winter night when Jesus was born. This is an unlikely scenario, though it is quite possible that the Jews participating in the census and taxation were extremely crowded in Bethlehem.

Sextus Julius Africanus, a third century Christian missionary, is believed to have first espoused the theory of Christ’s birth as December 25th. This worked well when the Romans later largely converted to Christianity because Christmas could be tied to pagan winter rituals, making it more palatable. Historical records suggest some forms of Christmas celebrations dating back to the early 4th century CE.

Some, however, argued that Christmas should not be celebrated as a feast date, because of the divine nature of Christ. This position is still held by some minority Christian groups like the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Though most see Jolly Old England as the source for many modern Christmas traditions, England actually banned celebration of Christmas from 1647-1660 in an effort to free the holiday of what was viewed as its pagan trappings and the excess and corruption of the Roman Catholic Church. This, however, was not a popular decision. England reinstated Christmas as a celebratory holiday, though tensions still ran high between the Anglican and the Roman Catholic Church.

Charles Dickens must be mentioned as inspiring many of the traditions we now regularly practice as part of Christmas celebrations. His phenomenal classic The Christmas Carol published in 1843 changed Christmas to a moderate, family oriented holiday. This differed from past celebrations which often verged on the anti-Christian, and which involved pursuing hedonism with graceless abandon.

Clement Clarke Moore’s 1822 poem “A Visit from Saint Nicholas,” firmly established the Christmas/ Santa Claus connection. Actually many Christmas traditions are based in Germanic pagan rituals predating Christianity. Many consider Thor to be a frontrunner as an early Santa Claus figure, and the Christmas tree was once a sacrificial tree to the gods, hung brightly with dead animals.

Today, some argue, Christmas has been inexorably corrupted by the commercialism with which it has come to be associated. For the poor, it may well be a time when, to quote Dickens, “want is keenly felt.” Dickens uses this as an argument for practicing charity and “keeping Christmas in our hearts” on every day of the year.

However, it can be stated that for the many joyous family celebrations where poverty is not a factor, there are still many where poverty is felt at Christmas, and where families despair that there is not even money to give their children basic necessities as Christmas gifts. Such a thought is sobering when one ponders the Christian message as one of personal sacrifice, kindness to others, and loving our neighbors as ourselves.

Still, many Christians feel that even a Christmas with the overt trappings of commercialization has a special feeling that can only be attributed to faith. It can be a time to renew one’s faith, or merely come closer to the birth of a religion which sustains many. In touching on Christ’s message, even small children may begin to understand the sacred nature of Christmas to Christians.

Tonight - FM Static

I remember the times we spent together
On those drives
We had a million questions
All about our lives
And when we got to New York
Everything felt right
I wish you were here with me
Tonight

I remember the days we spent together
Were not enough
And I used to feel like dreamin'
Except we always woke up
Never thought not having you here now
Would hurt so much

Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you, I can just look up
And know the stars are
Holding you, holding you, holding you
Tonight

I remember the time you told me
About when you were eight
And all those things you said that night
That just couldn't wait

I remember the car you were last seen in
And the games we would play
All the times we spilled our coffees
And stayed out way too late

I remember the time you sat and told me
About your Jesus
And how not to look back
Even if no one believes us
When it hurts so bad
Sometimes not having you here
I sing

Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you, I can just look up
And know the stars are
Holding you, holding you, holding you
Tonight

I sing
Tonight I've fallen and I can't get up
I need your loving hands to come and pick me up
And every night I miss you I can just look up
And know the stars are
Holding you, holding you, holding you
Tonight...

Twilight @ review

Twilight is a young adult vampire-romance novel written by author Stephenie Meyer. It was originally published in hardcover in 2005. It is the first book of the Twilight series, and introduces seventeen-year-old Isabella "Bella" Swan who moves from Phoenix, Arizona, to Forks, Washington, and finds her life in danger when she falls in love with a vampire, Edward Cullen. The novel is followed by New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn.

The story of twilight begins when Bella Swan reluctantly moved to the perpetually overcast and rainy town of Forks, WA, and set out to carve a niche for herself, she assumed it would be one similar to the low-profile social position she held back in a sunny town of Phoenix in Arizona. First on the list of surprises was the unfamiliar attention from the male population of her new high school; second, the attention from one male in particular as her classmate and partner in her laboratory class: Edward Cullen, the mysterious vampire guy. At first, Edward Cullen feels so utterly repulsed with Bella unknowing that Edward Cullen has the ability to read ones mind but only Bella’s he can’t and Edward doesn't eat humans, but Bella's scent inspires a nearly impossible to harness bloodlust that’s why he kept himself away from Bella for his sake and Bella that e even attempts to change his schedule to avoid her, leaving Bella completely puzzled about his attitude towards her. After several uncertain and not normal things she experiences from Edward like he has a cold skin and extraordinary strength, she found out that Edward is one of the feared creatures, the vampires.
Before long, the unlikely soul mates find themselves in a passionate relationship with a variety of significant setbacks, including Edward's special-needs diet and the human girl's mortality. Though things proceed relatively smoothly at first, Edward even introduces Bella to his adoptive vampire family. A visiting vampire clan consisting of James, Victoria, and Laurent catches Bella's unique scent and threatens the young couple's budding, if dangerous, happiness. James, known for his powerful tracking ability, becomes obsessed with making Bella his next victim. Fearing for Bella's safety and that of her loved ones, the Cullen Family must combine their collective talents in order to stop the highly predatory James before his goal is accomplished, to take Bella as his prey. The Cullens planned to distract the tracker by splitting up Bella and Edward, and Bella is sent to hide in a hotel in Phoenix. Bella then gets a phone call from James in whom he says that he has her mother, and Bella must give herself up to James at her old dance studio, to save her. She does so, and while at the dance studio, James attacks her. Edward, along with the rest of the Cullen family rescue Bella before James can kill her. James did not succeed in his malicious plan for Bella. James was killed by the Cullen family who’s protecting Bella from him.
Once the family only realizes that James has bitten Bella's hand, Edward sucks the venom out of her system before it can spread and change her into a vampire. Bella got injured and took to the hospital with Edward who has always kept an eye on her all day long until Bella’s awake and recovery. Still Bella and Edward joined there Prom night and Bella expresses her desire to become a vampire, which Edward refuses to let happen. The story did not end their yet because their still Victoria who will gone to take her revenge by loosing James from the Cullen family.

Colon Cancer

Colorectal cancer, also called colon cancer or large bowel cancer, includes cancerous growths in the colon, rectum and appendix. With 655,000 deaths worldwide per year, it is the third most common form of cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related death in the Western world.[1] Many colorectal cancers are thought to arise from adenomatous polyps in the colon. These mushroom-like growths are usually benign, but some may develop into cancer over time. The majority of the time, the diagnosis of localized colon cancer is through colonoscopy. Therapy is usually through surgery, which in many cases is followed by chemotherapy.

The first symptoms of colon cancer are usually vague, like bleeding, weight loss, and fatigue (tiredness). Local (bowel) symptoms are rare until the tumor has grown to a large size. Generally, the nearer the tumor is to the anus, the more bowel symptoms there will be.

The treatment depends on the staging of the cancer. When colorectal cancer is caught at early stages (with little spread) it can be curable. However when it is detected at later stages (when distant metastases are present) it is less likely to be curable. Surgery remains the primary treatment while chemotherapy and/or radiotherapy may be recommended depending on the individual patient's staging and other medical factors.

Asthma attacks

Majority of children playing sports unprepared for asthma attacks

More than three-fourths of children with asthma were unprepared for an exercise-induced bronchospasm (EIB) event, or asthma attack, according to a recent study. Since exercise can be a trigger for asthma attacks and inhalers are the best treatment, the researchers stressed that it's critical inhalers be available during physical activity.

In the study, published in a recent issue of Annals of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, 579 children 12 years old and younger were surveyed on the playing field. Of the 80 who had been diagnosed with asthma, only 22 percent had their inhalers with them.

"Inhaler availability among children with asthma who participate in organized sports is suboptimal," said Gilbert E. D'Alonzo, Jr., D.O., F.C.C.P., professor of medicine in the division of pulmonary critical care at Temple University School of Medicine and Temple University Hospital, who collaborated on the study with colleagues at the University of Colorado and Drexel University. "Without adequate preparedness and control for possible exercise-induced asthma attacks, children will not be able to play to their potential. Furthermore, uncontrolled attacks could affect their desire to engage in play and organized sports at all."

Asthma is one of the most common chronic diseases in children, affecting at least 4.8 million in the United States. Although physical activity is an essential ingredient for healthy development, it can trigger asthma attacks in susceptible children. The researchers suggested that future study focus on why such a large percentage of asthmatic children were unprepared on the playing fields.

Todays Bible says

The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God's law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

Christmas joke

This was my first Christmas joke since I never joke about Christmas. Somehow it made me wonder how come others can joke about it. It was texted to me just this morning with non-registered number.

A boy during Christmas eve wrote to Santa a letter. "Send me a baby brother!" He wrote. Then Santa wrote back and said "Send me your mother, hehehe".

A time like this, is it proper to joke in this season? have they really understand the true meaning of Christmas or they just occasionally celebrate it because we always celebrate it every year. With this thoughts I rarely see people or even meet a person that will not celebrating Christmas.

What is Social Science

Social Sciences include the study of economics, geography, history, political science, psychology, social studies, and sociology. They are a group of disciplines that deal with humans, both as individuals and as interacting groups. Natural Sciences include the study of astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth sciences and physics as well as areas of overlap. Briefly, social sciences are the study of humans and their interactions, and natural sciences are the study of the universe and how it works. For the first question, I'm afraid I can't help you there. Either you need the class to graduate, you took it because there's someone you really like who's taking the class, or you deeply and truly are passionate about the material. Maybe it just sounds like an interesting class. For the second question, it's true that sociology doesn't produce any magic pills or atomic weapons. Sociology doesn't set out to conquer the natural world, as do the 'hard sciences' (physics, chemistry, biology, etc.). What it can do, however, is save you from yourself. If psychology attempts to describe the personality (i.e. a single individual), then sociology attempts to describe groups of individuals. Consider Hurricane Katrina not just as a meteorological event, but also a social one. Could a more rigorous social theory have predicted the fallout among the lower-economic tiers of New Orleans and diverted government resources more efficiently? If you're better with numbers than you are with feelings, I'd recommend you look up economics and behavioral finance. They're flavors of sociology with more 'real world' (i.e. lucrative) applications.

Sociology is a relatively new academic discipline among other social sciences including economics, political science, anthropology, and psychology. The ideas behind it, however, have a long history and can trace their origins to a mixture of common human knowledge, works of art and philosophy.

Auguste Comte

The first European department of sociology was founded in 1895 at the University of Bordeaux by the French sociologist Émile Durkheim.

Classical" theorists of sociology from the late 19th and early 20th centuries include Ferdinand Tönnies, Émile Durkheim, Vilfredo Pareto, Ludwig Gumplovicz, and Max Weber. Like Comte, these figures did not consider themselves only "sociologists". Their works addressed religion, education, economics, law, psychology, ethics, philosophy, and theology, and their theories have been applied in a variety of academic disciplines. Their influence on sociology was foundational.

Offered prayer

The Lord will not abandon his people. God, our Creator, we have those moments in life where we sometimes feel like you have abandoned us. Yet, we know you are with us always, until the end of time. Help us to value the gifts that are all-around us, to share the fruits of your presence with those we meet and to share the wonders of your creation with our brothers and sisters. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen

On her 40th day

After 40 days since I lost my grandma we commemorate her in a small feast. Although it is natural to remember her in this way it became our bond to settle things like misunderstanding and hates.

Unfinished business as they say that the soul of a departed one still with us to fix things not on there own but asking prayers for solving it. Maybe in both sides they interpret things to be complicated that somehow lead them to quarrels.

But it is such a calm day for each and one of us and all leave with there hearts feed with lost and love.

We miss you much mommy.

The song you and i loved

It's undeniable that we should be together
It's unbelievable, how I used to say that I'd fall never
The basis is need to know
If you just don't know how I feel
Then let me show you that now I'm for real
If all the things in time, time will reveal
Yeah

1 - one, you're like a dream come true
Two, just wanna be with you
Three, girl it's plain to see
That you're the only one for me and
Four, repeat steps one through three
Five, make you fall in love with me
If ever I believe my work is done
Then I'll start back at one

(yeah)
It's so incredible, the way things work themselves out
And all emotional, once you know what it's all about, hey
And undesirable, for us to be apart
I never would've made it very far
`cause you know you got the keys to my heart
`cause...

Repeat 1

Say farewell to the dark of night
I see the coming of the sun
I feel like a little child, whose life has just begun
You came and breathed new life into this lonely heart of mine
You threw out the life line
Just in the nick of time

I like to move it move it

My thoughts.... for this Christmas

With 47 days till the Christmas season we always believe that for every Christmas is not only for HIS birthday but its a new birth for giving, love, peace and friendships. Why in this season we all think of it? because for a long year it is good to end and start a year with a new beginning.

We hear a MERRY CHRISTMAS greetings from others but sometime we don't "merry" it at all. So why not leaving all the problems, guilt and failures at the end of the year and start with courage to face a new year, easy to say but it is the day sometimes we get the relief about it.

For this coming Christmas and new year we must not forget those who give the most to us like our family, friends, and HIM "Jesus". A gift that most likely we wish for and a wish that we want to be granted. Season may change but it change to the fullest of goodness why not be like it. ^^v Happy week end!

Dual personality

Do they really exist? Observing others personality we have a common attitudes and behaviors. One of this is being kind to others. A distinguishing feature of a characteristics of a person not only one but all of us.

Saying "thank you, I love you, take care" are one of those many kindness we speak to everyone. In this way we are sharing the inner peace we have. Peace that only you can have and by saying kindness to others you pass on the peace you have.

Although for some kindness sometimes misinterpreted by jealous, exclusiveness and boastful. Why? because no matter what we feel, act and say others put it wrong. One of us have this "good and bad side" which side you are?

"When You Say You Love Me"

"When You Say You Love Me"

Like the sound of silence calling,
I hear your voice and suddenly
I'm falling, lost in a dream.
Like the echoes of our souls are meeting,
You say those words and my heart stops beating.
I wonder what it means.
What could it be that comes over me?
At times I can't move.
At times I can hardly breathe.

When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still inside and
When you say you love me
For a moment, there's no one else alive

You're the one I've always thought of.
I don't know how, but I feel sheltered in your love.
You're where I belong.
And when you're with me if I close my eyes,
There are times I swear I feel like I can fly
For a moment in time.
Somewhere between the Heavens and Earth ,
And frozen in time, Oh when you say those words.

When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still inside and
When you say you love me
For a moment, there's no one else alive

[bridge:]
And this journey that we're on.
How far we've come and I celebrate every moment.
And when you say you love me,
That's all you have to say.
I'll always feel this way.

When you say you love me
The world goes still, so still inside and
When you say you love me
In that moment,I know why I'm alive

When you say you love me.
When you say you love me.
Do you know how I love you?

Sad November

It was really sad. Then it was so peaceful. Acceptance about the truth healed by time.
Common to us during this month recollecting memories about our dearly departed ones be sad. Sadness is somehow our expression to the dead. Expressions that push us to move on and be prepared till our time comes. Irony is, we share our things to them "the dead" like foods, water, and sometimes they even give a glass of beer or wine. For what? common to us the traditional as we saw to others and how we adopt culture. By this trait's we share our common thing, the connection between life and death. As we all know we are still connected to them. We are connected by events, prayers and even daily tasks. We consider them among us, helping us but sometimes they harm us.

Like the mass today. The presiding Priest talks about it and after a homily he said "do not be afraid, Jesus is was not afraid but He carry himself and ask God to take over his soul to his kingdom with everlasting life"

Tinker Bell thinks her fairy talent as a "tinker" isn't as special or important as the other fairies' talents. But when Tink tries to change who she is, she creates nothing but disaster! With encouragement from her friends Rosetta, Silvermist, Fawn and Iridessa, Tink learns the key to solving her problems lies in her unique tinker abilities... and discovers that when she's true to herself, magical things can happen.

how pencils are made

Since kindergarten or in an early age we thought to use first the pencil. How is it made? this will give the idea of how is its done.

Groover and lead layer linked in a single process - Steps 4 to 6

1. At the Slat factory Pencil Stock is cut into "Pencil Blocksi" a bit longer than the normal length of a pencil. The small amount of extra length is called "trim allowance" that is important at the pencil factory later.

2. Pencil Blocks are cut into "Pencil Slats" using specially designed circular saws. These saws are very thin in order to reduce the amount of "waste" in the form of "sawdust". Due to the natural grain and defect characteristics of the wood the slats are sorted by width and grade for further processing. Slats without defects are called "full ply". Some slats are cut to smaller widths (called "narrow ply") or shorter lengths (called "memos") in order to eliminate the defects and to produce a variety of useable grades and plies of pencil slats.

3. Pencil Slats are treated with wax and stain in order to provide uniform color and improve the machining and sharpening characteristics of the wood for future processing. The slats pass through a final inspection process and then are packaged and shipped to "Pencil Factories" all over the world.

4. At the Pencil Factory a "Groover machine" cuts grooves into the slats to accept the writing core (or "lead").

Eraser Tipping Machine

5. Writing cores -- made from a mixture of graphite and clay -- are placed into the grooves. Other pencils may use wax based cores for coloring pencils as well as many other formulations used to make cosmetic pencilsi.

6. A second grooved slat is glued onto the first -- making a "sandwich." This is done with a machine called a "lead layer" where the sandwhiches are then "clamped" to hold them together tightly while the glue dries.

7. Once the glue dries the sandwiches are transfered to equipment called a "Shaper" and are first "trimmed" to assure that the sandwhich is square and that all the pencils will be the proper length, then the sandwich is machined into pencil shapes such as hexagonal, round or triangular.

8. The individual pencils cut from the sandwich are ready for further processing. Any defective pencils such as uncentered leads or chipped wood are discarded at this point.

9. Next each pencil is painted in a machine receiving from 4 to 10 coats of lacquer depending on the desired quality of the finish and the color of lacquer. A recess is cut to accept the ferrule.

After painting some pencils are wrapped with decorative film or foils with fancy designs although most pencils are imprinted with the brand name by stamping the foil into the surface of the pencil.

10. On a "tipping" machine an eraser and a ferrule (the metal ring that holds the eraser to the pencil)are crimped into place on each pencil.

Following tipping pencils are packaged in many different ways for shipment to distributors, wholesalers or direct to retail stores where you buy your pencils.

New International Version

Version Information

The New International Version (NIV) is a translation made by more than one hundred scholars working from the best available Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. It was conceived in 1965 when, after several years of study by committees from the Christian Reformed Church and the National Association of Evangelicals, a trans-denominational and international group of scholars met at Palos Heights, Illinois, and agreed on the need for a new translation in contemporary English. Their conclusion was endorsed by a large number of church leaders who met in Chicago in 1966. Responsibility for the version was delegated to a self-governing body of fifteen Biblical scholars, the Committee on Bible Translation, and in 1967, the New York Bible Society (now International Bible Society) generously undertook the financial sponsorship of the project.

The translation of each book was assigned to a team of scholars, and the work was thoroughly reviewed and revised at various stages by three separate committees. The Committee submitted the developing version to stylistic consultants who made invaluable suggestions. Samples of the translation were tested for clarity and ease ofreading by various groups of people. In short, perhaps no other translation has been made by a more thorough process of review and revision.

The Committee held to certain goals for the NIV: that it be an Accurate, Beautiful, Clear, and Dignified translation suitable for public and private reading, teaching, preaching, memorizing, and liturgical use. The translators were united in their commitment to the authority and infallibility of the Bible as God's Word in written form. They agreed that faithful communication of the meaning of the original writers demands frequent modifications in sentence structure (resulting in a "thought-for-thought" translation) and constant regard for the contextual meanings of words.

In 1973 the New Testament was published. The Committee carefully reviewed suggestions for revisions and adopted a number of them, which they incorporated into the first printing of the entire Bible in 1978. Additional changes were made in 1983.

PSP2 at its finest

PSP fan? Here is a new concept for the Playstation Portable. PSP2 design concept by Tai Chiem I mean, just look at the scrolling OLED screen! Still, it would be nifty to have a screen that can roll up into the PSP itself. No more tiny screen, but it needs some sort of electrical charge to hold it up. I guess it uses the same “memory cloth” technology as shown in Batman Begins.

Not only does it have the rolling and scrolling action going on, but the side speakers fold inwards, presumably to hold the screen into place when it is rolled up. Rumor has it the speakers are the controls for the device. This appears to the only method of control, as I don’t see a controller or buttons.

With a WOW, and as far as my finger touches the consoles (ammm where is it?) it will be a new innovation in gaming industry. With the design concept is insane it also features the awesome OLED screen fascinating graphics that will catch the eye not only the gamers but the audience too ^^.

I wish I really could

Being in love with someone is inevitable. Looking forward each they to meet her you wish as unexpected. Scripted as it is just to please her, making over just to get her attention but still nothing change. Advices from left to right seems encouraging still no effects. Letters, treat's, being gentle and so many attitudes/behavior just to please her still nothing change.

What should I do? how come it has no changes. Am I really this ugly for not noticing the goodness inside. Others will say its not only for the outer look but the inside really matters. hmmm is it true? How I wish I am that guy she fell in loved with. Wishing sometimes that smile will be mine. Hoping that thinking will turn around my world with her. The man I used to be was not fair towards her and someone it was another man who turned me down jealous.Sadness covers me. Reasons surrounds me in silence and the sense that I am not good enough for her makes the world tipsy-turvy.

Now this dream will be my paradise for you in me to take sometime that my Heart will soon forget you.

I miss you maming d`cat

The Beez!

Bumble bees are big, fuzzy insects recognized by almost everyone by their robust shape and black and yellow coloration. The common species are 3/4 inch in length or more. Like honey bees, bumble bees live in a colony where the adults care for the young (larvae) produced by a single queen. Bumble bee nests are small compared to honey bees, as each nest contains only a few hundred individuals. Also unlike honey bees, a bumble bee nest is annual and is used only one year and then abandoned.

Bumble bees usually nest in the ground in a deserted mouse nest or bird nest. Occasionally they nest in cavities within a wall or even in the clothes drier vent.

In the spring, the queen selects a nest site and starts the colony by lining an existing cavity with dry grass or moss. Then she collects a mass of pollen and moistens this with nectar to produce a stored food called "bee bread." Her first brood of offspring, numbering 5 to 20, will all be workers (daughters) who take over the colony responsibilities of nest enlargement, food gathering and storage, and feeding and caring for the larvae. The queen continues to lay eggs throughout the summer. By late summer, reproductive males and females are produced. These mate on the wing and the fertilized females move to hibernation sites in the shelter of loose bark, hollow trees or other dry, protected places to lie dormant through the winter. The males and workers still in the colony die with frost or the first hard freeze.

The new chapter begins

Just after the burial yesterday, some family friends stayed till the 9th Novena prayer with topic about my Grandma. Since it was finished we are set for new chapter. Memories of HER still remains and the nurturing still developing that for decades maybe we can still share. Mixed emotion still in air, friends still coming to pamper who was left behind and relatives help still at reach for healing.

During the mass we've attended the Priest who celebrated the mass told us that "Death is the end of our mission here on Earth but the beginning of a endless life in Heavens" an END and a BEGINNING. He said my Grandma Romula is fortunate to reach 85 yrs on Earth because she saw all the improvements and development mankind have. Cellphones, Internet, Inventions and more that for 85 yrs is enough for her to see the goodness of God for us. That goodness is not for material but for nurture.

With this new chapter hand-and-hand we take it for the better good of all. ^^v

My Very Own Fairy Tale

Kianne and the Wolf

Once upon a time, there was an ordinary girl named Kianne. She and her friends – the three little piglets – play with each other on the house of the three little piglets. The house of her friends is made of candy. Kianne went home after playing with them.

Upon arriving home, her mother gave her an errand: to visit and bring some goodies to her grandmother. Before Kianne left, her mother had given her an advice: Don’t talk to stranger.

Along the way, Kianne met a wolf, a c omplete stranger to her. The wolf introduced himself to her as a friend of the three little piglets. Then he told her that he’s looking for the house of the three little piglets because he wanted to visit them. Kianne after learning that the wolf is a friend of her friends, he told the wolf, “They live on the house made of candy”. The wolf thanked her and left, while she continued to walk straight going to the house of her grandmother.

After paying a visit, she had left the house of her grandmother and went back to the candy house. She was greatly terrified when there’s no one inside the candy house except for the wolf with a bulging tummy. She hysterically asked the wolf, “Where are our friends wolf?!” While caressing his tummy the wolf smiled and said, “Here they are, inside my tummy … and you’re my desert Kianne!” The wolf was about to eat Kianne when a prince with a crystal shoe on his hand came by and help her by throwing the crystal shoe on the wolf’s head. When the wolf fainted, Kianne snips the tummy of the wolf and came out the three little piglets.

Kianne and her friends are thankful for the prince for helping them. Then the prince found out that Kianne was the owner of the crystal shoe when the prince had tried the shoe on Kianne’s foot. This incident reveals that Kianne was the girl whose the prince is looking for. Then all of them become best of friends ever after.

London bridge Christina

Ready to jump back into the world of pop music, Christina Aguilera, husband Jordan Bratman and the couple’s son, Max Liron, were spotted safely arriving at Heathrow Airport in London on Saturday (October 11).

Escorted to an awaiting vehicle by security, Christina looked tired from her long flight as she made her way through arrivals cuddling her 9-month old.

As previously reported by Gossip Girls, the “Genie in a Bottle” songstress is in the English capital city to perform at next week’s This Day Music and Fashion Festival.

Aguilera will be joining Seal on the Africa Rising grand finale bill, set to take place next Tuesday, October 14th at the Royal Albert Hall.

The show is designed to raise awareness for African issues by finding “sustainable solutions” rather than by simply identifying the problems facing the continent.

I've Fallen For You

 I'VE FALLEN FOR YOU

What is this i'm feelin'
I just can't explain
When you're near,
I'm just not the same.
I'm tryin' to hide it,
Try not to show it.
It's crazy
how could it be

CHORUS
I've fallen for you
Finally, my heart gave in
And i'm fallen in love
I fin'lly know
How it feels

When you said hello,
I looked in your eyes.
Suddenly, I felt good inside.
Is this really happ'nin?
Or am I just dreaming?
I guess, it's true.
I can't believe

I've fallen for you
Finally, my heart gave in.
And I'm fallen in love
I fin'lly know how it feels
So this is love...

Doesn't matter where I am,
Thoughts of you still linger in my mind
No matter what time of day
I've really, really
Fallen for you..

Are you familiar with the term "Last Song Syndrome"? this means that you hear a song and you start to sing it over and over again. That what this song made me, after hearing it from the radio I started to sing it over and over. It won't stop I do not know why but I guess this will become my one of my many favorites. ENJOY!

It will be sad without HER

It was almost a week when my mama told me that my Mommy (which my Grandmother) is bed redden. At that time I was thinking of "She's just tired". I forgot that she is too old to move around the house cleaning and making herself busy of almost anything she catch her attention. Last Friday, I ask for a day off for its my Papa's birthday and the same time to visit my Mommy too. As soon as I arrived the house I rush on my Papa first, great him a Happy Birthday and kiss him. After a little chat I went to my Mommy's room and seen her on bed lying, having connected to dextrose that was almost empty. Watching her asleep just break my heart seeing her helpless while she catching her breath. A few minutes later Mommy woke up and turn her head looking for something I sat beside her and start to talk. "Musta na Mi?" (How are you Mi?) and she replied "dan2x ikaw yan?" (dan2x is that you?) and my tears start to fall. After a little talk about her I decided to leave the house coz` I feel like melting. I felt it when she said "kapoi na" (I'm tired)(pagod na ako) with this word I accepting the fact that she will be go off soon.

Having this situations was a fun-like-joke to me before. Way back high school during my Altar boy days I go with our Parish priest when he had a sick call (anointing of the sick) and I always come along. During it, I always remember finding my self with this question "what will be my feeling if one the member of my family die".

Now? I think this is it. The feeling I was talking about and actually scared for the day my Mommy will set off. I am fortunate and proud of having my Mommy since I consider her as my Mother.

In Gods will! May you be in His arms when the right time comes.

In your hands I command my spirit!

What is MELAMINE?

Melamine is an organic compound that is often combined with formaldehyde to produce melamine resin, a synthetic polymer which is fire resistant and heat tolerant. Melamine resin is a very versatile material with a highly stable structure. Uses for melamine include whiteboards, floor tiles, kitchenware, fire retardant fabrics, and commercial filters. Melamine can be easily molded while warm, but will set into a fixed form. This property makes it ideally suited to certain industrial applications.

Melamine resin is manufactured by mixing urea with formaldehyde under heat and pressure. The substances begin to polymerize and are forced into a mold which will create the desired shape. Under pressure, melamine releases water, which could make the plastic unstable if it is not removed. The materials finish polymerizing and create a finished product, melamine resin.

Melamine resin is known as a thermoset plastic, because the plastic is fixed after molding. If exposed to enough heat, melamine will melt. For this reason, melamine dishware should not be exposed to high temperatures like those in the oven and microwave. However, the plastic is able to withstand higher temperatures than other plastics. Because it is a thermoset plastic, melamine resin is difficult to recycle.

Melamine can be made into a foam product. Melamine foam has a distinctive structure composed of stacked bubble shapes, which are extremely hard and therefore can easily clean a wide variety of substances. Melamine foam is marketed under a variety of commercial names including Magic Eraser, a cleaning tool well known for removing scuffs and dirt from a wide range of surfaces.

Melamine resin is used in Formica and similar construction products made from composite materials. Formica is made using melamine resin, which is used to coat the fibers in the upper layer of the construction product. The melamine resin makes the end result heat resistant, so that hot objects can be set on the counter without concern. The surface of the material is designed to be easily wiped and cleaned, creating a long lived household product.

Melamine also plays a role in a wide range of flame resistant materials. These include textiles used in upholstery and the uniforms worn by firemen. Thermal liners, heat resistant gloves, and aprons to protect from splashback of hot substances are made using melamine. Melamine will protect a wearer from heat hazards, and will help to resist the spread of fire in aircraft and buses by providing a fire blocker.

Melamine is also used in the manufacture of some filters. The material is porous and will admit substances to pass through, but can be used to filter out particles of a particular size. Melamine filters are capable of handling a high capacity and can be used in hot environments due to the heat resistance of melamine. Melamine filters are also extremely efficient.

Actually this Melamine is not the basis on how BFAD releases certification to produce with this product. As far as DOH concern there is no one yet in affected on Melamine. Even they were accredited by BFAD it is not official if it is not been test by DOH. With this Milk scare issue all milk and dairy products like candies and dairy milk consumers are afraid to or avoiding such products affecting market.

From listed, GMA reports all the products that was tested and been told it was safe.
